Red, red Wine or hot Chocolate?

In the past few weeks I tried to focus on my family and my family again. Trying to spend as much time as possible with each other, enjoying the Christmas holidays together and making wonderful memories plus lots of knitting projects.... It was so needed after a pretty stressful year and we loved it!

I did some dye projects as well and had planned a pink wrap dye job for ages but couldn’t decide on a wrap for it so when I saw a new pinkish Didy release I was more than happy to give this wrap a try....

A few days ago the parcel arrived and the first thing that crossed my mind when I opened the first box was.... hot chocolate!
I still don’t know why I associate this wrap with chocolate at all but that’s it. Wonderful hand made hot chocolate with a tiny bit od cinnamon and some heavy cream..... yummy!....

Now back to the wrap itself....

Indio Burgund all cotton....
It is a deep burgundy coloured wrap with maroonish undertones and zyklame pink cross threads....
The size 6 weights around gr and this wrap is definitely more on the thinner side.

The colour of this wrap is divine and everything I hoped for. After all the years of wrapping it needs a lot to surprise me, but this wrap managed to make it into my permastash in one single second.
I just love the deep raspberry pink and for me it is a perfect year around wrap that looks great with jeans and black or white shirts but also with a black dress or white linen pants and a nice tunic.... and yes, I totally wear my boys in pink wraps because they are part of my wardrobe.... ;o)

Regarding the wrapping qualities..... This is not a thick wrap and I wouldn’t choose it in a medium length for single layer carries when I plan to wear a heavy toddler. But I think it is pretty comfy in multi layer carries and I even can imagine it as a shorty for quick rebozo carries with a walking toddler. It doesn’t need much space in your bag and you can wear it as a pretty scarf as well.
The Indio Burgund gets very soft after only one wash and with some use it feels wonderful silky.
Thinner wraps always require a tight and proper wrap job for a maximum of comfort but it is very easy to wrap with it so I don’t see any problems in this point.

Not sure if I would pick it for a long hiking trip but thankfully I have other super supportive wraps for this purpose.

When I saw the first swatches I thought that the Indio Burgund would be very close to the 2009 Indio Hibiscus.... I never thought that these two wraps would be that different!
The Indio Hibiscus from 2009 is significantly lighter coloured and literally screams summer, sun and popsicles while this Indio Burgund is my hot chocolate, feeling warm and cozy wrap.... both are perfect in their ways and still so different....

I managed to make some comparison pics of Hibiscus and Burgund and will try to make some decent action shots later today....
But for now, here are the first pics....

Off to make some pics....
